Introduction

Angle steel (L-sections) are L-shaped structural members available in equal-leg and unequal-leg forms. They are economical, easy to fabricate, and widely used for bracing, framing, supports and connection details in buildings, machinery and general fabrication. Supplied hot-rolled, cold-formed or welded, angle steel can be delivered in carbon, high-strength, stainless or weathering steels with optional surface protection.


Typical Specifications

Standards: EN 10056 / EN 10279, ASTM A36 / A572, JIS G3192 (or customer spec)

Types: Equal-leg (L a×a×t) and unequal-leg (L a×b×t)

Leg Widths (a, b): 20 mm – 300 mm (typical range; custom sizes available)

Thickness (t): 3.0 – 25.0 mm (typical)

Lengths: Standard 6 m / 12 m; cut-to-length or customized lengths available

Materials / Grades: S235 / S275 / S355 (EN); A36, A572 Gr.50 (ASTM); stainless 304/316; weathering steel on request
